Vancouver Island (no victoria) - 2008/05/10 09:22 Hey! Here's a little list of some great places on Vancouver Island (exluding Victoria, as this website is mostly devoted to that!)

By far my favorite anywhere I've ever been is Drumroasters in Cobble Hill (about 40 mins from Victoria). Absolutely top notch espresso and single origins... roasted in store. Geir his wife, Carsen and everyone there are amazing people... passionate about excellent coffee, and really understand the community that comes along with a cafe. Can't get enough of the place... beautiful shop with some great leather couches!

Up from Cobble Hill your in Duncan. In Duncan there isn't much that I would consider top notch, but some who come close.... Coffee on The Moon, The Garage (Corfields), Slice of Life (good pizza too!) and Black Coffee are all half decent places! Great people at all these places....

Ladysmith has a new place... Phaedrus & Cleo very good espresso and great food too. There is also a place called In the Bean time the coffee's not amazing, but atmosphere is awesome!

Nanaimo has the Buzz which is a newer using JJ Bean... owners again are awesome people. Probably the best looking coffee shop I've been in... nice furniture, fire place etc.

Tofino has a place called The Tofitian which I have enjoyed quite a few times....
