Help needed for La Pavoni - 2008/05/12 18:15 I just picked up a second-hand Pavoni Pub V single to use at home in place of the Silvia. It seems to function and will need a thorough going over to clean out, tighten connections, replace gaskets etc. The big difference I notice is how long it takes to come up to temp. It filled properly to the correct level, but took over 90 minutes to get the pressure halfway in range until I got tired of waiting & shut it off. I didn't detect any steam leaks and the pressostat seemed to be functional and the thing did continue to heat up. Is this a normal amount of time to wait with a commercial machine? The Silvia is always ready to go in 20 minutes. I am suspecting that it may have a 220v heating element, but it's not labeled and I don't know what the restance values of either version should be. Is the idea to just turn it on and never turn it off, or (hopefully) do I have a problem here?

They will definitely take longer to come up to working temperature than a Silvia for sure.

Check this site for some specifics - there are LOTS of Pavoni experts out there.

Oh yea - it is 110V and 1800 Watts.
