Grind and Brews - 2007/12/23 06:10
Hello all. What a relief to find a Canadian site devoted to coffee. And based in Victoria as well.
I am more of a grab and run type coffee drinker, because my job requires me to rise early and my body forces me to stay under the covers as long as possible.
For that reason I've been really happy with my programmable Melitta Grind and Brew. When I get up, there is fresh ground in the pot ready for me. Unfortunately the maker has gone caput. I tried a Cuisinart and was not impressed with the flavour. Now I am looking for solutions.
I've tried finding Canadian sources for the Melitta G & B but am not having much luck. If someone can point me to a domestic source for the Melitta, or suggest another programmable G & B, aside from the Cusinart, I'd be extremely grateful. Am making due with purchased ground coffee right now, and it's not the same.
Thanks
Paul
PS. I'd be happy with an American supplier but the ones I looked at wouldn't ship to Canada because of warranty issues.

The Melitta Smart Mill & Brew looks like the machine you had and it's on sale right now for $199 and free shipping at www.creativecookware.com

Thanks Bobby.
That is the machine I need, but I am looking for one without the FM weather LCD display. I'm in an area that doesn't pick up MSN FM broadcasts and I really don't want to pay for the feature.
I found that Amazon.com had the Grind and Brew available but they would not ship to Canada because of warranty issues.
Thanks again. I'll keep looking
