Jura impressa E50 - 2006/12/18 06:14 I've had a Jura Impressa E50 coffee maker for 5 years and love it. I just got a light saying the machine needs to be decalcified. I got the tablets and went through the process and now my coffe tastes HORRIBLE. I've tried rinsing the machine about 20-30 times and can still taste the chemicals. Any suggestions? I miss my morning hit. Thanks, Lynn

Re:Jura impressa E50 - 2006/12/18 11:28 You only decalcified after 5 years!?

Wow. No wonder.
You are drinking calcium deposits with each
brew.
Lucky you.

I would suggest you run some more tablets through
the Jura...
and lots more rinses!

These machines should be decalcified
every 6 monthes or less REGARDLESS of
whether they ask for it or not.

Wow. what a story.
Thanks!

Re:Jura impressa E50 - 2006/12/19 03:53 Thanks for the help. I only use filtered water so that may be why I haven't gotten the decalcification light until now. Of course I've gotten the "cleaning" light lots of times and done that process. Anyway, I'll take your suggestion and rinse some more. Actually yesterday's coffee was almost back to normal. Sure hate to decalcify without that light coming on, but if that's best for my machine, I'll do it. Thanks again. Happy holidays, Lynn
