not thrilled by Clover - 2006/10/02 14:04just had a Clover coffee at Discovery Coffee and I didn't like it near as much as the Americano I had the other day. maybe it was just that variety of bean I didn't like? dunno, will probably never bother to try another - the Americano was so awesome I don't care what I'll be missing from the Clover press.

I love that place though, very non-pretentious - you get the pointy bearded hipsters and blue collar guys lining up for good good coffee - the music kicks, all round nice place.

Actually - you are being narrow.
That is like saying: "I had an espresso once and I will never do it again..."
When you are in Vancouver, let Alistair or the crew at Elysian Room make you a Clover. It will knock your baby shoes off. Or go to Artigiano and have them make you a cup of excellence French press. It will rock your World.

I don't like Vancouver and tend to avoid it, but I will make a pilgrimage to the holy sites you mention on my next visit - just to see how good it can get.
I guess I am narrow but I'm happy (mostly) so what the hell...
