I live in the UK and would appreciate some advice.
I've just inherited some items from an old friend who died recently and amogst the stuff is an Atomic coffee maker. It has all of its parts and was just about working when I got it but the safety valve is very corroded and in fact the thread broke apart when I tested the machine. There are also a couple of oversized corrosion holes in the filter mesh where the boiling waters cascadeds down onto the coffe.
Having found out more about the Atomic, I'd really like to renovate it and wodered if anyone knows where I can get a spare safety valve and the pin hole mess that is corroded?
Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Re:Atomic coffee maker - 2005/08/30 00:15No problem! You must save it! The safety valve is included with the big bad black knob. Get a new one from Bon trading in Woolhara. As for th filter go to a Pavoni retailer, ask for the OLD model filter. Of course bring the coffee holder with you....but you knew that.

The filter from the OLD Pavoni is getting rare. Anther filter, in stainless, that is the smaller size of the two supplied by Atomic, is the FAEMA AMICA one.
Went down to the espresso mecca in Montreal and picked up a few. They are a low $9.50 canadian!
They are a PERFECT fit for ALL the Atomics. I hope that this will help a few of you out there.Frederick Nakos is the Global authority on the Atomic Espresso Coffee maker.

About twenty-three years ago, I was given an Atomic (Thos. Cara, Ltd. San Francisco, CA was the importer). It has the pressure gauge on the top of it. However, I misplaced the instructions, and would like to begin using it again. Does anyone have a set of instructions which they could fax or scan and e-mail to me? I'd be much obliged. Chuck
