Toshiba HCD-850 Owner's Guide Book - 2007/02/14 12:06I can upload the Owner's Guide Book, (also another user booklet), one page at a time, if anyone is interested and this meets with the Admin's approval. Here are a couple of samples from the Guide Book, resized to 300x400:
I came across this forum while searching for a Brew Basket for my Toshiba HCD-850. Poster Keith Klippstein mentioned Pacific Coast Parts Distributors (www.pacparts.com). They list one for $16.06, but show it "NOT IN STOCK". That site looks to be a very good resource.
That is a bit pricey for me anyhow. I cracked mine slightly, enough to leak, while banging it to get the old grounds out. It repaired OK using a clear adhesive & I think I can nurse it along with additional applications as they are needed.
This machine is still working great, btw, after 20+ years!

Re:Toshiba HCD-850 Owner's Guide Book - 2007/02/21 09:15Well, I have to give tribute to your fine website. There seems to be good karma here. Though not a coffee aficionado, I really enjoy espressos, doctored-up to my liking. [I won't say how much 'Very Vanilla' soy milk & honey I use, lest I get stoned for coffee heresy.]
I have benefited often from information shared by others that I have found online - way too many times to count - from software & computer tips to how to prepare rutabagas. Within minutes, after discovering your site, I found a post that referenced a supply house where I might, if I want to spend the money, purchase a part for an obsolete machine made over 20 years ago. That is pretty amazing!
It would only be right that I offer my modest contribution.
We need to show each other a little love, right brah?!

P.S. I saw your last reply too late to catch the PODCAST. Did you make me famous? Does a cash prize go along with your thoughtful acknowledgement?

Hi,
I've had my Mokita for 5 years now, and I find the coffee is getting kind of bitter - sour, and there is almost no more crema. At first, I thought it was the coffee itself, but now I doubt it....
