Gaggia classic pour stream from brew group. - 2007/06/11 12:43 Hello, my name is Chris. I live in Phoenix, AZ. I'm a rookie barista and own a Gaggia Classic. I've had great success with operating it and love the ease and use of the machine. Recently I've noticed my water isn't coming out as is should from the group head, but steams and shoots water out okay from the wand. I've cleaned and descaled multiple times, but still problem exists. I can't find any place locally to help repair my machine. I'm some what handyman and the inside of machine doesn't look that intimidating to me. Any suggestions as to what I could do at home before shipping out of state to fix problem. Thanks.

Re:Gaggia classic pour stream from brew group. - 2007/06/11 14:33 There is a good Gaggia primer on this website
Here.

With the most basic hand tools:
1- Philips screwdriver &
1- 3/16" ALLAN key

you can take OFF the shower screen
and remove the BREW Block and get to the heart
of the trouble.

You probably have a SCALE PLUG developed from
the hard Phoenix water.

Keep at it -- do not be afraid of laying some concentrated Citric acid on that puppy.
Hit it. Hit it again. And hit it hard.
The Gaggia can take it.
