Instruction Book copy shots - 2007/10/21 23:19 Hi Guys
Cooffecrew newbie here.
Have been making coffee most mornigs for the last 8 years or so with my Atomic. I bought it at a charity shop (Waverley NSW Vinnies for Aussies) for $8, mint. I allmost had a fight with the guy who was behind me and saw me pick t up and clutch it to my chest...
I am also a photographer shooting a bunch of studio stuff, but in this context, my work may have been seen in Crema magazine. I shoot most of their covers and coffee shoots. I am writing a small story on the Atomic and managed to track down a machine with box and instructions intact!
If anyone is interested will send through pics of original packaging.
Cheers! Hamish@doofdoofdoof.com

Re:Instruction Book copy shots - 2007/10/22 02:48 This is scandalous ! What do you mean by " most" mornings ?
An Atomic needs to purvey to your needs every mornings ! You need to purvey to it's needs every mornings ! Just as much as your ex-orphaned Atomic warms the cuckolds of your heart YOU have the role of doing likewise ! Most mornigs....sheesh ! What happens on those other mornings ? Polo sessions ! Or worse : Yoga ? What in the world can keep you from your Atomic those other mornings? Not tea I hope ?

By adopting an Atomic you took the sacred oath ! Try to keep that in mind ! "Most mornigs"....I can't get over that....

Re:Instruction Book copy shots - 2007/10/22 18:12 yes it is sad indeed but of course on those days that I have to leave home early I THINK about the machine a great deal....as I drink coffee made at my studio on a Sunbeam machine...the spoils of a shoot.

And whilst we are establishing that we are probably sworn enemies I will put it out there that in the article that I am currently meant to be writing I suggest tamping is an excellent thing....
Builds pressure.

Re:Instruction Book copy shots - 2007/10/23 04:42 If your grind looks like buchshot, go ahead and tamp. Use cast iron and at least 68 lbs of pressure. Weld the safety valve first. Wear goggles. There are a number of tool shops that offer an array of small bench presses, you should investigate that also. The two ton model is quite nice and could be used for other purposes such as removing the brass rod from the group. If you have one of course.
