The ads say they are made in Taiwan, and they come nicely packaged in a flashy box!
It looks surprizing similar to the fax one I purchased on ebay earlier this year (yes I knew it was fake just wanted to look at one), but the boiler plug seems to be more refined.
I wonder if the seller has tracked down the maker of the fakes that were circulating earlier and got him to make these...

Just in time for Christmas like the vendor says.
As you know the La Sorrentina was an ATOMIC sold through a New York distributor. The difference with all the other ATOMICS was that all the bakelite bits were done in green.
I know the vendor, as you might guess, and this hommage to Giordanno Robbiati did take three years to bring to fruition. It has nothing to do whatsoever with the fake ones that were badly done in India. Those went so far as stating Made in Italy and using the name of a long time Australian distributor.
These are done in Taiwan, in a state of the art manufacture that makes tens of thousands of stovetops that are enjoyed all over the world. If you were to have them made in Italy these days, the price would keep these out of bounds for many fans I am sorry to say.
La Sorrentina is the name of this new generation coffee machine, the green and other colored bakelite handles and bits will be coming soon. The history of the Atomic coffee machine is one long parade of reproductions. Only the prototype was "an original". We know for sure that many foundries made the Atomic coffee machine from 1946 to 1978. The stand-offish Sassoon for example was cast in England using Italian manufacture accessories....The Hungarian Qualital is another example that comes to mind. I personally made suggestions to the manufacturer to enhance or bring back some characteristics that were dropped in the pursuit of economy along the years. This recreation incorporates the 4 frothing holes that were original on the first frothers, it uses state of the art modern food approved silicon seals throughout. The boiler plug has a different access hole used for tightening it securely in place, not like the original that has a square hole for some makeshift tool, but you must NEVER take off that plug anyway.
The proportions of La Sorrentina are absolutely beautiful in every way and form, this machine continues the grand tradition set out by Giordanno Robbiati of satisfying the most discriminating lovers of well brewed coffee.

I think I will buy one when the green bakelight is available (altough the price seems rather expensive for something made in Taiwan!)
The fake ones from India, which is what I am sure I brought (just to check them out) looked quite good, except for the boiler plug in front, altough I've never bothered to use it... infact if it wasn't for the boiler plug and steam wand in an odd place, I could see how people might get caught out...
