I'm in the mood for experimentation. I'm wondering if I can pack a bit more coffee into my Atomic. Is my group handle "standard" or... did was the group handle depth different than the "usual" Atomics? I'm wondering if a replacement flat bottomed basket will fit my group handle (Basket 1-1/8" depth). If there are deeper replacement group handles available (Sorrentina?), if they will fit my machine I supposed that might be a swell way to add even more capacity. Probably only to find that my current set up is optimal. What say you? Best wishes. Oh, PS... I keep getting outbid on those Atomics that come up with the smaller carafes! Mike.

I heard from Frederick some months ago that a standard KRUPS espresso basket fits into the PF of the Atomic allowing for more espresso coffee...
You hit the nail on the head above - The stout, as you put it, is proportional to the low ratio of reservoir to coffee holder - indeed. Good observation.
