Baratza Virtuoso vs. Solis Maestro+ - 2006/12/08 11:45 Hi guys,

I'm considering purchasing either one of these units to complement Solis SL70 machine.
Any suggestions, recommendations regarding the choice?
The refurb Virtuoso would cost $200 including taxes and shipping as brand new Maestro+.

Thanks
Al

Re:Baratza Virtuoso vs. Solis Maestro+ - 2006/12/08 13:10 A "Refurb" Virtuoso?

If these "refurbs" are early Virtuoso designs, I would steer VERY CLEAR of them.

And 200$ for a refurb Virt seems kind of steep. Where are you buying it from ?

Re:Baratza Virtuoso vs. Solis Maestro+ - 2006/12/11 07:29 Quality Coffee Syetems offered a refurb Virtuoso for $200 including taxes and delivery.
Green Beanery are selling red Solis Maestro Plus for $169 + 14% tax = $193.
What is your opinion about Solis Maestro Plus?
What are my other options in that price range?
The grinder will be used for espresso only, coupled with Solis SL70.
Thanks
Lexi

Re:Baratza Virtuoso vs. Solis Maestro+ - 2006/12/11 10:12 Buy from QualityCoffeeSystems if you can.

The Baratza Virtuoso is the superior grinder and the better bang for the buck.

There is nothing wrong with the Solis Maestro +
The Baratza group have taken the basic design a few steps further.

Re:Baratza Virtuoso vs. Solis Maestro+ - 2006/12/11 13:30 Colin,
you mensioned that $200 for the refurb Virtuoso is "kind of steep". What would be the good price for the grinder?
Thanks
