Help us out here --
Which Portafilter are you talking about ?

The Rocky has a 1.5" gap between the mouth
of the coffee chute and the PF holder tongs.

Granted, a larger PF could fit in here because the
tongs of the Rocky are spaced sufficiently that you
can squeeze larger items in.

I could attach some photos if you want.

Re:Rocky grinder twith presurized portafilter - 2006/12/24 18:47 I believe that it will fit just fine -
(if memory serves me correctly...)

Re:Rocky grinder twith presurized portafilter - 2006/12/24 22:29 The dosered version --

I think virtually anything will fit under the
chute of the doserless unit.

Re:Rocky grinder twith presurized portafilter - 2006/12/25 05:13 This is better to choose with doser or not? There a tweak to turn the doser version in a doserless??THX

Re:Rocky grinder twith presurized portafilter - 2006/12/26 23:32 I have both machines.

The pressurized portafilter that comes with the Saeco doesn’t fit between the bar and the dispenser - but luckily – the bar is designed to be removed.

The bar pulls out very easily.

Re:Rocky grinder twith presurized portafilter - 2006/12/27 04:12 Felix, did you like your doser grinder, or you have a little regreat to choose the doserless?

Re:Rocky grinder twith presurized portafilter - 2006/12/28 19:16 If you're planning to make a lot of shots in a row - the doser may be a good idea.

I though - have no regrets about going doserless. I love grinding straight into the portafilter. My next upgrade will be a non-pressurized portafilter to take advantage of the quality of the grinder and attempt to make my first real crema.
