missing manual Delonghi Ariete DCM1377CH - 2006/12/26 11:28
Does anyone know where I can download a manual (.pdf) for a Delonghi Ariete Cafe Chic (model DCM1377CH)?
I have had no luck finding a downloadable manual on either the Canada or USA Delonghi web sites.

For Michiru - the red light can mean a number of things. On the simple end of the scale - the water or bean bins are empty, the discard bin is full, or you need to put your Ariete through a descaling and cleaning process (instructions in the manual).
Of greater concern, there may be some sort of malfunction that will require that you send it in to the office for repair. I have had mine for 8 months and it has been to the office twice (luckily, I live close). I can no longer get the small expresso cup size or or the twin expresso cup. The red light comes on intermittently when I press the middle button for a large cup, and the problem seems to be related either to the electronics or to a loose spout from the brewer unit. It now has to go back for a third time and friends that purchased the unit after me, indicate that they are beginning to have some problems.
It is frustrating- love the coffee - hate to be without it.

I have a DeLonghi Caffe Elite which stopped working 2 days after the 1 year warranty. Should I have it fixed by DeLonghi or just put it in the garbage and proceed to buy another coffee maker? Does anyone out there have the same DeLonghi Caffe Elite which is an 8 cup thermos model which I bought in Dec. 2006. We purchased 2 machines and my sisters works great but mine doesn't work at all now.
