Most electric steam-powered espresso makers are pretty similar, even if they have an alternate number of switches or look a bit different.
Follow the links or go the Articles drop-down menu at the top of the page and select Tutorials (simply click on Articles for a listing of all articles). Some manuals are available in our downloads section (including the short manual linked above).

Re:weil espresso machine - 2008/06/01 16:41This is an OLD thread, but just in case anyone is still listening, I had to comment. I just made the big investment ($8) in a Weil, Multichef Pump espresso machine. Yes PUMP, and yes ESPRESSO. even had it appart for my much more mechanically inclined brother to get working again - Calcium build up siezed the pump solid. Anyways. I'm trying to get a good shot out of this thing. I got a tasty little late last night, but I'm just not getting a good Crema. I don't know if I ever will. I'm wondering if anyone else has had any new luck with this machine. Model number is EPM-1. there is NOTHING on the weeb about this thing. does the company even exist anymore? I'm going to give it another go with the KRUPS vivo doc as a reference. looks VERY similar except this one has 3 switches on the left front side.
Anyhoo, If anyone cares, I'll update on my progress.
later, JOHN

Could bad taste come for poor maintenance?
Heck yes! It is the cause of 99% of taste problems with espresso coffee (all other mechanical things being normal and the coffee being fresh...)

Hi,
I've had my Mokita for 5 years now, and I find the coffee is getting kind of bitter - sour, and there is almost no more crema. At first, I thought it was the coffee itself, but now I doubt it....
Pouring the espresso into the hot water, saves the crema.... I have has this request a few times, as for taste difference, I do not know if it does....
As opposed to the other way around? Do you mean the difference between pouring the water over the espresso as opposed to pouring the espresso over the hot water?
If so the only real difference, in...
