choosing espresso machine at pro level - 2007/09/25 13:51 Hi everybody!

Some time ago I decided to buy a preoffessional coffee machine. To cut long story shot, I came to a choice of
two machines and I don't know which of them is going to be better.
1. Expobar Brewtus II
2. Izzo Alex MK II

Specially after doing some reading (in the net) on both I'm hesitating to buy Brewtus because of the OPV pump and yet I'm not so sure how about the temparature stability on Izzo.

Please help!!! as it is going to be a purchase of my (coffee life.

Best wishes & thanks

Re:choosing espresso machine at pro level - 2007/09/28 12:18 Hi Coffee Owl,

I can't comment too much on the Izzo Alex. I can comment a bit on the Expobar Brewtus 2 as I own one. I personally am far less worried about the slighly noisy pump of the Brewtus. I want great coffee, a noisy pump once in a while is no issue. I do love the temperature stability of dual boiler and would not get an HX machine.

The other dual boiler to look at is the Vivaldi. But I liked the large boilers in the Brewtus and the E61 groupo. Love my Brewtus and am enjoying and learning everyday.

Hope this helps.

I could not comment on either as I have no experience with either unit.

Cheers,

Re:choosing espresso machine at pro level - 2007/09/29 13:37 Thank you for reply!
May I ask for how long you are using your machine? I found some information that the digital temperature controls 'blow up' and last no more then 8 months, so I am a little worried as I rather don't want a HX machine and there's hardly an alternative to the Brewtus.
Thanks in advance!
