Saeco Royal Cappuccino taste problem - 2008/09/27 00:35 Dear All,

I have Saeco Royal Cappucino, testing it for several type of different coffees from around the world, but the funny is the coffee taste always the same. It has prebrewer function and I disabled it to make the taste different for each coffee type.

I try to compare it to my Krups manual machine, which still can make different taste and better coffee.

Do you know what's the problem?

Thanks in advance,

Didi

Re:Saeco Royal Cappuccino taste problem - 2008/09/27 12:55 Yes - the problem is...
It is a super-automatic machine.

The water for the coffee touches so much plastic and travels through so many tubes... the coffee is brewed in a plastic or composite brew mechanism... and it travels through some more plastic tubes before it reaches your cup.

I have used a handful of S/A machines that were not utter crap -- but that was not one of them.

Bottom line: Too much plastic in contact with your precious fluid... coffee that is not warm enough... and too many new "ideas" being tested by you at the expense of coffee quality.
