Possible to borrow a Gaggia portafilter - 2006/11/28 11:09 I am a longtime coffee drinker (since age of 5) but a total newbee in the fascinating world of barista.

Recently acquired a used 6-years old Gaggia Coffee. The machine seems working fine (primed ok, steaming ok and water temparature seems right) but it does not come with the portafilter and basket therefore I am not able to do the shot testing (the moment of truth).

I don't want to invest another 60 or 70 dollars for the portafilter and basket until I am sure that the machine can make a successful shot.

Would someone be so kind to loan me a portafilter and basket just for a day ? (By the way, anyone know where can I buy Gaggia accessories in Victoria or do I have to buy them for Vancouver ? )

EspressoTec shrugged off the request and suggested you check with ABC Electric in Victoria... you can also check with MachinesNBeans on Hillside.

"We're busy here!" - I think Reg said of my silly request...
