 ikon a con - 2008/02/20 03:48 I've owned a thermoblock Breville Roma for a number of years and can say it brewed a passable coffee with decent creama. I recently upgraded to an ikon because I thought its boiler would better extract the coffe and deliver a hotter coffee (The roma coffee was always a a tad too cool). Well I was wrong, other than the frothinh power everyting else on this machine is rubbish and I'll be returning it on the weekend. It just doesn't work and I know what I'm doing. I've used my inlaws Saeco, my friends gaggia all with good results. I've tried all grinds (using an expensive grinder) and yes tamp pressures. no matter what I did I couldn;t brew a reasonable coffee.
