Colin,

Did you have to modify the Maestro plus to work with a Silvia or the factory setting works fine?

Thanks.

It worked out of the box.

The Virtuoso often needed a tweak - but even that situation has improved.

Re:Krups xp4050 vs Breville Café roma - 2007/01/04 12:02 In this case, would a Maestro plus be easier to use since I would not know how to tweak a grinder if it needed to be tweaked? Also reading the review by Dave, it seems like there is a bit of modification involved.

I could get a Virtuoso at the same price as a Maestro plus because there is a shortage of Maestro plus here in Vancouver. However, I'd forgo the good deal if it means less trouble for me.

I am relatively inexperienced so ease of use would be more important for me.

Oh and regarding La Pavoni PG Burr Grinder. Espresso Tec is saying that the performance is at the level of Saeco M2002.

Thanks.

Re:Krups xp4050 vs Breville Café roma - 2007/01/04 22:00 Actually - if you buy the Virtuoso in Vancouver (from QCS or EspressoTec.Com) the seller does the fine-tune or tweak. You do not need to.

Truth is - One should NOT Have to pick up a screwdriver after dropping over 200$ on a coffee grinder.
