This thread discusses the Content article: Technivorm KBT741 reviewed
Bought one of these a couple of years ago via Boyds in the US, and am very pleased with the performance... looks like the newer model has a nicer carafe and a different and perhaps better shower arm (can one buy these part separately from the CDN vendor?)... kjb

Can the Newco OCS 8 mentioned in the article be purchased in Canada?

I have the e-mail for Newco Canada if you want -
They are about 1/2 the price of the Technivorm and although they use more plastic in construction, the coffee is as good or better.

Sorry, bad wording / misunderstanding on my part.
I did read the article. And I have found the Newco "available to Canada" from U.S. online stores. What I meant was is it available in Canada from a Canadian store / distributor so I'm not getting dinged at the border.
So yes, an email address for Newco Canada would be great

You can phone them or e-mail them to find a local seller in your area.

Hey everyone - I'm in Calgary, Alberta... and am interested in purchasing the Newco OCS-8 or close second being the Technivorm KBT 741.
Bad news though... I contacted 'susan@newcocoffee.com', and she has replied:
"Thanks for the inquiry, but we are no longer carrying the OCS models. I am sorry for any problems that this might cause."
NNNNOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Now where am I gonna get it?!?
Anyone have any more Canadian sources for this machine, or even a "Canadian friendly" US based online store?
And I wonder if these 'supply' problems indicate that Newco is going to stop making the OCS line? Because if that's the case, I think I'd rather go with the Technivorm after all...

Wow! This is important news. I should check in with Susan and see what is what. Maybe I should buy a new one while I can get one.

Oughtred Coffee lists the OCS12. Perhaps they could order an OCS8 for you...

Unlikely - Susan at Newco (just reading her e-mail) says they are not carrying them anymore -- and they are the importer.
Trust me - I am pressing her with more pointed questions.
