PID parts... (?) - 2005/10/07 03:54 PIDers,

I've done a bunch of googling and ebaying. I scratched through Allied Electronics and came up with the following:

PID: Omron E5GNR1TC-AC100-240 AC powered $154

SSR: Crouzet 84134911 AC control 25amp $22

Thermocouple: Simpson electric TH-K-1-0-5 type K, 5' wire $9.61

1.) are these okay?

2.) is there anything cheaper?

3.) is there a good/better place to buy these parts?
tia!!!

Re:PID parts... (?) - 2005/10/11 17:13 Continuing! :o)

I bought (ebay):
Sanyou TA4-RSR PID controller
Omega SA1-K thermocouple (qty 5)
Crydom A2440 40amp AC-actuated SSR (qty 2)

total cost incl shipping us$90.

They haven't arrived yet, but if Boston disappears off the face of the earth you'll know what happened!

Re:PID parts... (?) - 2005/10/11 20:01 Wow... after visiting your 'out-there' website, I would never have taken you for a hardcore tinkerer of electronics and such...
Maybe the spiritual website is some kind of CIA front for a much more complex operation...
You are a rocket scientist!
