Re:New machine suggestions for the new guy - 2008/01/07 12:49 Yes, I did buy some bodum glasses at "Home Sense".. This is a great suggestion but patience is key when you shop their. You may not have the selection as you do at other retail stores. So buy as soon as you see them or they will disappear (lesson learned).

Re:New machine suggestions for the new guy - 2008/01/15 20:58 the machine's been great, and my technique is improving with every shot. There's still alittle inconsistency, but that will come.

One thing I did notice though is that I'm getting clumps from my rocky doserless grinder. I've read that this is pretty common and likely a result of static electricity. Are there any quick fixes for this or should I just continue to deal with it?

Re:New machine suggestions for the new guy - 2008/01/30 18:01 I've read that some folks have have been able to cut the static by lining the inside of the hopper with aluminum foil or aluminum tape.

Edit (after reading the question again) - static will usually cause the grinds to fly off in different directions making a mess or make the grinds stick together making them difficult to pour. The aluminum tip may help if that's the problem.

Re:New machine suggestions for the new guy - 2008/01/30 20:42 Uhm - I do not think this is static.

Little inner secret dudes... and dude-ettes:

You know your espresso grind is the right consistency when it clumps coming out of the grinder mouth.
