Steam Wand Only Not Group Head Estro Profi - 2008/03/20 21:24 Newbie here. Thought I was graduating from a Mr. Coffee to a used Estro Profi. Acquaintance gave me the machine with the understanding that the steam wand valve knob was over-tightened and stripped. I have "fixed" the overtightened steam wand assembly in that it now moves freely from "closed" to open, however upon 'priming' the machine as I have read in these forums, I can only get either a stream of water from the steam wand on "brew", or steam from the wand on steam. I removed the brass mechanism attached to the steam wand knob (the part that was overtightened for reasons now apparent), and I was aware of a brassy grease on the threads, and three small rubber bushings before the nipple that I assume fits in to the group head. If someone could please direct me to the most likely cause of the water streaming out of the wand only I would be very appreciative. I am now somewhat ashamed that I managed to cut my fingers on the stainless steel shroud on the back of the machine, and I have nothing to show for my efforts to my wife and our eager teenager. Thank-you for the direction in advance.
