cimbali liberty - 2008/08/11 19:17 I recently acquired a Cimbali Liberty and I've noticed a
couple of quirks. First of all, I think it's older than others I've seen posted based on the white enamel finish and the fact it seems to have two power switches of a vintage style.
One is marked 300w and the other 1000w.
It will produce lots of steam on either setting, but once the machine heats up it sputters steam and hot water through a port on top of the boiler directly in front of the filler cap. The documentation doesn't show this nozzle which I'm guessing is some kind of relief valve.
Is this a common problem, and does anyone know a reputable person in the Toronto area who repairs Cimbali?
thanks!
