DeLonghi EC-701 - 2005/11/13 14:38 I purchased this espresso maker several months ago. It has worked great until about two - three weeks ago when it began making these ungodly gurggling sounds after brewing an espresso. It sounded as if pressure had built up inside the unit at was trying to escape. I could see the water in the resevoir tank bubbling from air bubbles backing up. It makes a good cup of espresso but I'm concerned something is wrong. I have cleaned it as described and don't really know what to look for from this point on.

I have normally left the machine on during the day because it receives extensive use and have had to turn it off to avoid the hissing and gurggling. Oh, one other thing. When inserting the maker arm it would always seal about dead center. Now it doesn't seal until going 3/4 of the turn.

Anyway, can anyone shed light on my problem or is it time to contact DeLonghi to get a new one?
